Artist's Comments

Been needing to brush up on a lot of stuff, and one practice I've been doing with ~TheToshihiko's guidance is recreating master works in Paint Chat. Since the Pchat we frequent is Watchmen themed, it's been fun adapting the paintings to be watchmenitized. See if you can guess what artist each is based off of, and what work!

Censored Wally's willy cause I hate marking things as "mature" and people are tetchy on DA.

edit: Re: Critiques. I'm incapable of going back and editing these (it's paint chat, they've all been long "bombed") but any tips or techniques for things to pay attention to in the future is greatly appreciated.

For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic. Normal means lack of imagination, lack of creativity.

Oh goodness, is that Rorschach flipping off Alan Moore? Oh, my, either way I love it..!
:iconbilious:
Technically inspired by a Paul Kidby Discworld picture because I kept messing up his hand and finally gave up cause the whole thing was not lined up right XD I drew the alan moore half first cause someone else was drawing on the left side of the screen but they erased it so I could continue the picture XD

These are all lovely, but Comedian is my favorite!

Perhaps one day the Indian will put down his tomahawk and the white man will put down his gun, and the white man will pick up his gun again because haha, sucker.

Hmmm... Well, the first is Michelangelo (Sistine Chapel) that's easy, the second is Caravaggio's Narcissus (god, that's appropriate :XD: ), the third is Sargent's Madame X, maaaybe? (Sans cleavage.) Dunno what the fourth is unless it's something by Frans Hals.

Awesome! Ozzymandias as Narcissus, pure gold. I love how he's only wearing his costume in the reflection.

The first two are definitely the funniest, but I think the last two are the best executed. You really captured the luminous skin and detailed facial features from the originals.

Very nice :D
